The RoundUp is back with the Humans of Barrington and all of their lovely quarantine stories. Read more about sophomore Simrin Raju and her creative quarantine fun! “During the pandemic I have been spending my time a lot differently than I was before. For the past eight months, I have been trying to make the best of having to stay at home which was difficult at times. One of the things that helped make these dark times feel brighter was having so many experiences with my family that we never really had the chance to do before because of my parents at work and my siblings busy with college, schoolwork, and friends. I would love waking up and walking downstairs to make plans for the day with my brothers. We had to be creative to find things to do because most things were closed because of the pandemic. My brothers and I spent a week fixing an old paddle boat that we’ve had for years but have never taken the time to fix and we ended up using it for the entire summer. We would have never gotten around to fixing it and cleaning it if it wasn’t for all the free time we had.” Simrin Raju, sophomore. Interviewed by Krisha Mirchandani.
