Q & A with Knoop Twins

Kendall Knoop:
1. Do you feel close to your twin?
Yes, growing up together and experiencing everything at the exact same time. she has always been my best friend. It is wonderful to have someone who understands you and who you can talk to about anything. I could not imagine life without her.
2. Do your personalities or preferences match?
Definitely, everything she likes I like and vice versa.
3. Do you like spending time with your twin?
Of course! She and I have shared a bedroom our entire lives until just recently… and even though we do not share a room anymore I still go to her room anyways to spend more time with her.
4. What activities do you do together?
Since we have so many common interests we do just about all of our extracurricular activities together. Having an identical twin means you have someone who shares all the same experiences with you as you grow up together. I am fortunate to have always had my twin sister Kailey there for me because I had someone to practice sports and go on adventures with.
5. Have you ever switched places?
We have not switched places in school yet… we always talked about how it could work if necessary, but for the most part I was really concerned with making a mistake in the Kailey’s place if we ever tried to switch.
6. Do you have anything matching?
When we go clothing shopping we usually buy items for us both to share, but even though we do not have exact duplicates of clothing there have been instances where we would both come to school where unplanned coordinated outfits and have no idea we were matching until 8th hour.
7. What love song/song would you use to describe how you feel about your twin, if any?
One song that describes our relationship as twins is “A Friend Like You” by Andy Grammar because we do everything together and I would not be complete without her.
8. What do you like most about your twin?
She makes me smile and always knows how to brighten my day!
9. Who is older and by how much time?
Kailey is older than me by three minutes
10. Will you be spending time with your twin on Valentine’s Day?
Bold of you to assume I would not be.

Kailey Knoop:
1. Do your personalities or preferences match? Yes. Almost everything that we do is exactly the same. I feel like some twins want to be separate, and in some ways we like to differentiate each other, but in most ways we end up together. Our favorite food is the same, we both like sushi and we do all of the same sports. We both have the same hobbies, so we both like art and singing. I feel like there’s not one thing that the other person likes that I don’t like. When we kids, Kendall liked cats and I liked dogs, but I like cats also.
2. Have you ever switched places? Do you want to? The reason we never did is because our schedules don’t have that much in common. We did pass around homework when we had classes right after each other. We only did that one time, but that’s the closest we’ve come to switching.
3. What love song/song would you use to describe how you feel about your twin, if any? “Count on Me” by Bruno Mars because we are always together.
4. What do you like most about your twin? She’s really nice and always helps me. Kendall’s never mad at me. We never have big arguments. We’re never going to stay mad at each other.
5. Who is older and by how much time? How do you feel about being older? It’s only by a few minutes so it doesn’t matter. I feel like we’re still the same.
6. Will you be spending time with your twin on Valentine’s Day? I see her every day so it’s not like I’m not going to spend time with her.
