‘Tis the pumpkin-flavored season

The temperatures drop as the fireplaces light up. Before the cold winter and the hot cocoa, many get ready to enjoy the countless different fall snacks and desserts from their cozy homes to the local cafes. Many transitional fall snacks and foods include A LOT of pumpkin flavors. There are pumpkin bread, drinks, cookies, pies, and so much more.

I’ve tried making different homemade pumpkin recipes before, however, they all turned out either burnt or just tasted bad. There are many restaurants that provide limited pumpkin drinks or treats during the fall as well if you don’t want to bake/cook something.

I went on a big researching spree about different types of food that include pumpkin flavorings. There are a lot of different dishes and desserts, but the more traditional types of treats you usually see are pumpkin pie, bread, and donuts/cookies. Out of everything I listed, I absolutely love pumpkin bread with my whole heart. It’s just super good and I love that sometimes there is a nice frosting that’s on top. My whole family likes pumpkin bread as well and it’s an overall loveable dessert everybody can enjoy in my family.

I know some friends and family that like pumpkin pie, but for some reason, I just don’t really reach for it if offered. It just seems too mushy and I’m not a fan of the overpowered pumpkin taste. Usually, on pies, you have the top to be nice arrangements such as sugar, patchwork topping, crumb topping, strawberries, and a lot more different stuff. With the pumpkin pie, everything is the same all through. Maybe there is the vanilla ice cream on the side of whipped cream on the top, but nothing else.

Overall, it just depends on what you like and there are so many different choices to choose from when it comes to fall foods. Searching up easy recipes to try at home or safely going out to get yourself a pumpkin treat really gets you in the fall vibe. I’m excited to keep trying new things and hopefully, everyone can get their hands on the yummy pumpkin treats this fall.
