This year’s multicultural show, organized by seniors Riya Shah and Ziya Singh, was a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity. Though we arrived a bit late, we caught Khumar, an exchange student from Azerbaijan, performing the elegant Uzundere dance. Next, Claire and Dani brought the lively spirit of Irish dance, followed by a captivating Kathak performance from Northern India, showcasing intricate hand gestures and rhythmic footwork. Toro Mambo, a symbolic Mexican dance, celebrated the bull with energetic movements. Elite7, a K-pop dance group, energized the audience with high-energy routines promoting women’s empowerment and confidence. The show closed with Barrington’s Chinese Club, featuring both a modern fitness dance and the traditional Lion Dance, highlighting Chinese cultural traditions. Under Shah and Singh’s leadership, the show was a powerful display of global artistry and unity.
