Two students, Lex Farnaus ‘24 and Melanie Miller ‘26, are recipients of the prestigious Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Scholarship.

Through this scholarship 250 high school students across the country are able to complete a year-long academic exchange program in Germany.

The scholarship recipients are placed with a host family, attend a German high school, go on cultural excursions, meet with German and US government officials and take language courses.

The program (CBYX), which provides the scholarship, started in 1983 as an attempt to better the US-German relationship. It is jointly managed and funded by the US Congress and German Bundestag (the German federal parliament).
