After competing at the sectional competition earlier this month, nine Barrington journalists progressed to compete at the state level in Bloomington, IL.

Barrington students who placed in the top three of their individual category at the sectional competition, which took place on April 5, continued on to compete downstate earlier today. As a team, the journalists placed eighth in state, and won several individual awards.

From The RoundUp’s staff, senior Emily Won placed second in Infographic Design, and senior Danny Pashkow placed fourth in Yearbook Copy Writing. Senior Anna Gustafson and juniors Rohan Soorya and Sarah Fitzgerald placed third for TV News.
